Ruto Raila
Edwin Sifuna claims ODM Party can win the next presidential election which is not a bad thing but what he must be told to do is to abandon his own candidacy for any seat in 2027 and become the CHIEF AGENT AND HEAD OF PRESIDENTIAL SECRETARIAT of Raila Odinga’s 2027 bid.
Any current elected ODM MP, MCA, Governor, Senator, etc; who believe Raila Odinga can win 2027 election must forgo their seats and become part of the national campaign secretariat and deliver Raila Odinga presidency, after which they can be appointed to higher positions than their current status — and we will celebrate them forever.
People who want Raila Odinga to contest merely to hang on his coat, or; so as to help divide the pro-Ruto bloc are acting on side gigs — “wanatembea na wamuchomba”. If you believe Raila can capture power, demonstrate it by abandoning your own bids. There should be no more lip service on this issue.
Raila Odinga’s national unity and development platform has been taken over by President Ruto. This positive takeover is better than negative takeover, where State Power is won by those opposed to national unity and equitable development.

It means Raila Odinga’s base is experiencing what they’ve pursued for years with Odinga, even in the absence of Raila Odinga — thanks to the broad-based handshake.
The wars we’ve waged for years are being now waged by President Ruto who is already seated on the seat of ultimate power.
President Ruto is implementing our vision of Kenya, not necessarily as we who backed Raila would have wished, but then we have that Abakuria saying, “better half a loaf than none”.
We need not participate in removing President Ruto then when he’s gone, we find ourselves having to deal with a worse situation.
This 2002 mistake will not be repeated. We cannot continue waging “centre wars” from the periphery again.
Tribalism is being dented. Entitlement is being dented. Resource discrimination as official policy is being dented.
Every part of Kenya is feeling renewed hope, except, obviously, those entitled regions which will always view equality and equity as oppression even when those regions still gobble more resources than all the other regions.
A Raila Odinga candidacy in 2027, righteous as it may appear, is a wild goose chase. It is a worthless pursuit.
Electoral victory was never Raila Odinga’s eternal quest.
What we understood that quest to be is the possibility of a developed, equitable, secure and free Kenya.
People like Edwin Sifuna conflate, confuse and reduce the cardinal principles of the ODM Party to a quest for power as an end in itself.
Both Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru are leaders of India. Only one was Prime Minister.
Supporting President Ruto’s re-election is supporting Raila Odinga’s eternal quest — a nation dwelling in unity, peace and harmony.
KUMI BILA BREAK.
